This cheesy, delicious quiche is easy to make and makes the perfect breakfast or brunch. This quiche is so versatile and can easily be changed to include your favorite ingredients.

Can I make this quiche with sausage instead?

Yes! Bacon is my family’s favorite breakfast meat but I’ve also tried this quiche with ham and cooked crumbled breakfast sausage and it’s been delicious. Feel free to omit the meat entirely for a vegetarian option.

Can this quiche be made with different cheeses?

White cheddar and gruyere make the tastiest combination but I’ve also made this quiche with many other kinds of cheeses and it has turned out beautifully. Feel free to use whatever cheese you have on hand.

What kind of pie crust should I use?

I love to make my own all-butter pie dough and use that for this quiche but you can use whatever pie dough recipe that you prefer. If you’re in a pinch for time, this quiche turns out wonderfully in a store-bought frozen deep dish pie crust, such as Pillsbury, as well.

How to Make Quiche

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.

Step 2: In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, salt and pepper. Set aside.

Step 3: Cover the bottom of your pie crust with the crumbled bacon.

Step 4: Cover the bacon with the shredded cheeses.

Step 5: Pour the prepared egg and cream mixture over the bacon and cheeses.

Step 6: Place your pie pan on top of a baking sheet and place in the oven on the middle rack.

Step 7: Bake for 50 minutes to 1 hour, or until the quiche has puffed up and browned.

Storage

This quiche can be stored in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. It also freezes well. Bake before freezing, wrap tightly in aluminum foil, and store in the freezer for up to 3 months.
